Women groups to undergo Peace March

Sunyani (B/A), Nov. 25, GNA- A Peace March for all women’s groups and the general public in the Brong-Ahafo Region would take place in Sunyani on Tuesday November 30.

A statement issued on Thursday, and signed by Ms. Juliana Amponsah, Regional Co-Ordinator of the National Council on Women and Development (NCWD) said the programme, to be organised by the Department of Women under the auspices of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs was is to create much awareness for peaceful elections in the December Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

The Regional Minister Nana Kwadwo Seinti, the Senior Minister Mr Joseph Henry Mensah, the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kwadwo Adjei-Darko and some traditional rulers would take part of the march, the statement said.
