Women chasing caused revolt

The Ghanaian Chronicle reports in its lead story that President Jerry John Rawlings has chastised District Chief Executives (DCE’s) who have turned to promiscuous living after taking on the job, stressing that some governments had fallen due women’s influence.

The President, in an address during the opening of the 7th Conference of the DCE’s at Koforidua, is reported to have condemned the attitude where certain people who toil with their wives in times of hardships turn around to take on new ones during glory moments.

He reportedly advised those DCE’s to appreciate the beauty of young girls rather than going lustfully after them.

President Rawlings recalled that it was the way and manner that those at the helm of affairs were chasing women that called for the revolt during General Acheampong’s administration.

He urged the participants to live above reproach to render as falsehood publications by press about their lifestyles.
