Women Aglow holds Thanksgiving Service

Accra, Dec. 17, GNA- Mrs. Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, a member of Council of State on Saturday called for attitudinal change towards work and environmental issues. Mrs Afenyi-Dadzie observed that some individuals often report to work very late and close early, evade tax and promote bribery, use office phone lines for private jobs, saying all these bad behaviour cannot ensure total development. Mrs. Afenyi-Dadzie, who was speaking at the monthly thanksgiving service organized by Women Aglow at the Independence Square stressed the need for members to play their job role effectively in order to make Ghana a better place for all.

Aglow, a non-denominational Fellowship, seeks to foster fellowship among women and provides support for them to appreciate their roles. She said, “if you are from the media, you should make sure that what you publish, what you have see, you do not slander your neighbour, we all need to eschew vice, uphold the truth and maintain good character. She said: “our forefathers have worked and died for freedom and justice, we also need to strive to work diligently for our children to emulate.” On the environment, Mrs. Afenyi-Dadzie expressed concern over the spate of littering, adding that had led to choked gutters, floods and out break of a number of diseases. Mrs. Afenyi-Dadzie, who is also the prayer director, Women’s Aglow, led members to offer prayers for the nation. Evangelist Diana Asamoah, a gospel artiste, led members through song ministration.
