A twenty-year old girl, whose name was given as Maame Efua, has killed and dumped her three months old baby in a forest near Gomoa-Potsin in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region.
The incident, Kasapafmonline.com learnt, happened in the early hours of Thursday, March 24, 2016.
But luck was not on her side. The community having realized the missing child and suspecting Efua, reported her to the Domenase Police leading to her arrest.
Police sources say upon interrogation, Efua admitted committing the crime and led the Police to retrieve the decomposed body of the three months baby.
She has since been transferred to the Ojobi District Police Station to assist with investigations.
Assemblyman of the area, Philip Asante Prempeh who accompanied the Police in their operation told this website in an interview that the decomposed baby was found in an army of ants in the forest.
