Woman dies in BNI premises

Accra, May 14, GNA – The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) on Friday confirmed the death of a 27-year-old woman, who was invited by the security agency to assist in an investigation on Thursday May 13, 2010. A statement issued in Accra and signed by the Director of BNI said the woman, who arrived at their premises in the company of her husband, collapsed shortly before she met with investigators.

Details made available by the BNI explained that, the woman was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital, in the company of her husband, where she died, after some attempts to resuscitate her.

“The woman was invited to assist them with information, when the tragic incident occurred,” the statement said. Meanwhile, the BNI has sent a message of condolence to the bereaved family. 14 May 10
