A 34-year-old woman has allegedly slashed her 12 year-old son’s ear for stealing at Kumasi Tafo in the Ashanti region.
The suspect, Efia Grace assaulted her 12-year-old son as punishment for stealing her GHC1.20.
According to reports, the victim whose name was given as Kwadwo Badu was accused by the mother of stealing the money, an accusation he denied.
The accussed Afuah Grace with anger battered the victim until he fell unconscious with blood oozing from his ear.
Neighbours rushed to the scene to rescue the victim from the angry mother.
The victim was rushed to the Suntreso Government Hospital. The woman according reports started insulting and invoking curses on medical officers and her neighbours after she was confronted for what she did to the son.
The case was reported to the police but the suspect is currently on the run.
