Woman arrested for ‘stealing’ nine-year-old boy

A woman suspected to be a non-Ghanaian is alleged to have stolen a nine-year-old boy at Nsawam.

The woman was spotted begging for arms with the boy.

Upon suspecting foul play, some residents around Aburi junction at Nsawam hauled her together with the child to the police station.

According to an eyewitness, the woman while on the way to the police station told the boy to tell the police that she [suspect] is his mother.

However, the victim in his statement to the police said the woman is not his mother and that his mother is a resident at Taifa Burkina a suburb in Accra, named Auntie Aggie.
