Woman, 58, found dead on farm in Obuasi

A 58 year-old woman was found dead on her farm at Anim Adukrom in Obuasi in the Ashanti region on Tuesday. Reports say Josephine Akosua Addai left home and did not return.

The matter was reported to the police who mounted a search for the deceased. She was later found dead in the farm with foam in her mouth.

Police are investigating the matter but the Obuasi Divisional Commander, ACP Kofi Dwumfour Berchie told XYZ News the deceased might have died from diabetes. He said he does not suspect any foul play and are waiting for the autopsy report to continue investigations.

But the son of the deceased says he suspects his mother was killed. 27 year-old Paa Kofi Kumi told XYZ News he cannot bear the death of his mother because he and his mother were very close.

He said the mother left home at 2:00AM without telling anybody where she was headed only for her body to be found later after hours of searching for her. Kofi Kumi said he is befuddled by her death because his mother had no problems with anybody in the area.**
