A 50 year-old woman, Yaa Kate has committed suicide by hanging herself with a sponge at Nsuem near Amamfrom in the Eastern region.
Reasons for committing the suicide according to an eyewitness account is not readily known but others are claiming that, she [deceased] was being haunted by a ghost.
Narrating the incident to Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the eye witness, Emmanuel said the husband of the deceased retruned home from a journey and asked of the wife but no one knew of her whereabouts and so he [husband] decided to go home.
Upon reaching home, he realized the door was looked. He called the wife but her phone was not going through.
So he forced the door opened. After forcing the door opened, the husband found the wife hanging dead, Emmanuel added.
According to him, a mixture which the deceased had extracted from some herbs and pills were found in the room.
The police was later notified and the body has since been deposited at the morgue.
