A woman and her four-year-old son have been brutally murdered in Denu in the Volta Region.
Residents in the town woke up Friday morning to find the body of the woman who has been identified as Aseye Avevor badly mutilated in her house.
Her son was later found to have also been slashed in the throat with his body immersed in a bowl of water.
A local reporter, Dela Denakpor narrating the story to XYZ News said reports indicate that the murder took place in the early hours of Friday.
According to him, the woman’s eyes had been gouged out and knives were also inserted into her private parts.
Mr. Denakpor reported that the remains of the woman and her son have been taken to the morgue by the Police.
