WLCI raises funds for school

Accra, May 9, GNA – The World liberation Church International (WLCI) on Sunday raised about five million cedis at a mini harvest at the Victory Temple of the Church at Darkuman in Accra.

Speaking at the harvest, the leader and founder of the Church, the Reverend Jonas Jones, said the proceeds was to be used to develop the Valley View Academy being run by the WLCI at Ayikai at Obuom near Kasoa. He described the community as a deprived one and appealed for assistance from non-governmental organisations and individuals for the school, which is up to Primary three.

Rev Jones pointed out that the Church was the sole provider of funds and logistics for the school and said assistance would enable children from the deprived rural community to have education. The WLCI leader said part of the proceeds would also be used to clad the Prayer Camp under development, which would have an auditorium, offices and other facilities.

He stressed the need for the revival of the Church to go out into the World to liberate the people and urged branches of the WLCI to organise fund raising activities to support their development projects. The Reverend Emma Nartey, Head of the Women’s Ministry, prayed that the Prayer Camp would be filled with the spirit of God and that the facility should be a symbol of hope for all those who would use it. She noted that even though the battle was not easy Christians should put their trust in God, saying, “Our God is a living God and they that call on him shall be saved”.

Branches of the church from Ayikai and Oboum participated in the harvest.
