Winner Takes All Is A Moribund System Of Governance – Prof. Ken Attafuah

Until the winner takes all policy is completely abolished in Ghana, we would continue to witness successive administrations, flaying good policies started by their predecessor.

It is on this background that the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Central University College, Professor Ken Attafuah, has joined the campaign to condemn the “moribund” practice of allowing the winner-takes-all syndrome to take over political landscape.

He opined that the winner takes all system of governance creates acrimony, spawns a sense of dissatisfaction and impoverishes society.

He finally added that it creates room for novices who are propelled by self-interest to be pumped into public office to the detriment of society.
