Winneba Police measure for accident free Christmas

The Winneba District Police Command has appealed to road users, especially drivers, to observe road traffic regulations before, during and after the Christmas festivities to avoid unnecessary accidents.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) John Paul Akunde, in Charge in charge of Motor Traffic Transport Unit of the area, told the GNA that his outfit had put in place measures to ensure safety and sanity on the roads.

He mentioned Kasoa/Cape Coast high way as well as Winneba junction linking Agona Swedru as areas police would step up patrols.

ASP Akunde appealed to motorists to adhere to motor traffic rules to avoid carnage on the roads.

He appealed to passengers to report drunken drivers to the police and officials of the road transport unions, adding that with their support they could work as required to save life and property.
