Winneba hospitals record 19 births

Nineteen births of 10 males and 9 females were recorded at the Agona Swedru and Winneba Government hospitals in the Central Region, on Tuesday, New Year Day.

Dr Apetorgbor Dzodzodzegbe, Medical Superintendent at the Agona Swedru Hospital told GNA that 15 babies, comprising seven males and eight females, were born at the facility.

Ms Philomena Annan, Principal Midwifery Officer of the Winneba Government hospital, said three boys and a girl were born at the facility.

She said the babies and their mothers, who were healthy, had been discharged from the hospital.
