Winneba Hospital appeals to public to help trace patient’s relatives

The Management of Effutu Municipal Government Hospital has appealed to the public to help trace the relatives of Miss Abena Annowa, who is on admission at the hospital.

Mr. Frimpong Hayford, Administrator of the hospital, made the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Winneba.

According to him, Annowa aged between 12 and 15, was reportedly knocked down by a hit-and-run driver around the Mankessim area and was rushed to the Saltpond Government Hospital by a Good Samaritan.

She was later referred to the Winneba Government Hospital for further treatment on January 9.

He said Annowa, whose legs were fractured during the accident and could not speak frequently is now responding to treatment.

She has mentioned one Aba Akyere, a trader based at Mankessim, as her mother.

According to Mr Hayford all efforts to trace the mother of the patient has proved futile and, therefore, appealed to the public to help identify the relatives.**
