Odomase (B/A) March 10, GNA – Mrs Anna Darling Owusu- Antwi, Brong Ahafo Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Rural Development, has inaugurated Widow/Widower Association, an umbrella non-governmental organisation for widows and widowers at Odomase, near Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region. She pledged the commitment of the Department to assist members of the Association, which has 422 members to acquire skilled training to enhance their living standards.
Nana Atta Afena, Regional Coordinator of the National Disaster Management Organization urged widows and widowers in other districts to form similar associations. Mr Francis Kofi Manu Apraku, is the Chairman of the nine-member Executive and founder of the Association. 10 March 05
