As the curtain on the 8th Pan African debate championship is lowered today at the Legon campuses, the question on the lips of many is who lifts the ultimate trophy.
So far, about twenty Universities from Africa have demonstrated gross academic brilliance in the ongoing debate championship.
Ghana secured the hosting rights after putting in a strong bid engineered by the head of the sports directorate of the University of Ghana, Dr Bella Bello Bitugu.
Youth and sports minister Dr Mustapha ahmed praised university of Ghana for hosting Africa.
The championship is being supported by the African heights foundation. Open society initiative for West Africa (osiwa) the ministry of education and other sponsors.
