Management although conceded there was a loud noise far away from the mall which was misconstrued as a detonated bomb as prophesied, the mall was not closed.
Prophet TB Joshua had prophesied last Sunday during church service that there would be a terrorist attack on Ghana between Thursday and Saturday.
Marketing Manager of the West Hills Mall, Michael Oduro-Konadu told Onua News Friday, the noise was caused by a burst tyre of a tipper truck that was offloading goods some distance from the mall.
“We beefed up security since December before the prophecy came, we have doubled up the number of security personnel and we are working hand in hand with the national security agencies to ensure the safety of this place,” he told Onua News.
On patronage and sales in the Mall, Mr. Konadu said the terrorist prophecy is having no effect on the Mall as people continue to troop in as usual to patronize various shops there.
According to him, a daily patronage of about 13,000 people has not reduced even after the prophecy, and therefore urged their customers to remain calm because management has put in place all the requisite measures to secure the Mall.
Onua FM News reported about the incident which caused many around the mall to run helter-skelter for their lives on Thursday, April 14.
They feared it was the fulfillment of the prophecy by TB Joshua.
