Wesley Methodist Cathedral donates wheelchairs to Ussher Polyclinic

Accra, Dec. 30, GNA – The Wesley Methodist Cathedral on Tuesday donated six wheelchairs to the Ussher Polyclinic to support the operations and activities of the mini-hospital.

The wheelchairs valued at 10,000 Ghana cedis were donated by the Church’s Committee in-charge of Social Responsibilities and formed part of their support towards society. Making the donation, Nii Ayi Aryeetey, Society Steward of the Church said the gesture was motivated by their quest to support material needs of society apart from the traditional spiritual needs. He pledged his outfit’s continued support towards the sustenance and upkeep of the hospital.

Ms. Mary Ann Sackeyfio, Deputy Director of Nursing Services who received the wheelchairs on behalf of the hospital commended the Wesley Methodist Cathedral for remembering them in times of need. She described the donation as a timely answered prayer as the hospital could only boast of a single wheelchair for its operations. Among other members of the church present were Very Reverend Alfred Aryeetey, Superintendent Minister, Reverend Abraham Tetteh, Circuit Minister and Nana Adu Boafo I, Chairman of the Committee in-charge of social responsibilities.
