We’re tired of Mahama’s incompetence – NPP protest

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday marched along the streets of the Ashanti Region capital of Kumasi to protest what it describes as hardship in the region.

Dubbed: “Yay3 d3n demo” to wit “what have we done”, the protest saw hundreds of the party’s supporters in the region wield placards to protest some of government’s policies in the region, which they say, have rendered most of them jobless.

Some of the placards wielded read: “Ghanaians deserve better”, “Enough is enough”, “Save our Cedi, JM”, “Children are dying” and “Kun yen preko”.

There was slight confusion during the procession, our correspondent said. William Evans Nkum reported that the confusion led to the withdrawal of the police escort but it was later resolved by the organisers.

The party’s executives in the Region are expected to address the protestors.
