Wenchi Secondary inducts new headmaster

Wenchi, March 14, GNA – The Right Reverend Charles Kwasi Konadu, Bishop of the Wenchi Methodist Diocese, at the weekend urged heads of institutions to place national development and education of students above their personal interests.

He said they should work assiduously to ensure that students led morally upright lives so they would become responsible citizens in future.

Bishop Konadu was preaching at the induction service organised by the leadership and members of Wenchi Calvary Cathedral in honour of Mr John Kwaku Donkor, a member of the church appointed as Headmaster of Wenchi Methodist Secondary School.

Rt. Rev. Konadu called on the staff of the school to support the headmaster and live in harmony to ensure the growth of the school. “Headmasters should ensure transparency in the financial management of their schools to win the confidence and trust of the staff and parents,” he said.

Mrs Akua Akubuor Debrah, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of Education, deplored indiscipline among some students and cautioned that such behaviours should not be tolerated.

She called on traditional rulers, assembly members and unit committees are involved in schools’ activities.
