We’ll resolve all conflicts in the Northern regions – Mahama

President Mahama has stated that his government will work towards resolving all the various ethnic and chieftaincy conflicts in the three Northern regions.

The President said people in the Northern regions must understand that there could be no development without peace.

President Mahama made the comments during the final funeral rites of the late Bolewura Seidu Amankwaa Gbedease at Bole in the Upper East region.

He also commended the people and chiefs of Bole for peacefully electing a new Bolewura.

“We are going to work to bring peace to Dagbon and resolve that issue so that lasting peace can come to Dagbon”.

“It is my hope that all the other areas where there are conflicts, Bawku, Wa and other places we will resolve them so that development can come; without peace there would be no development,” President Mahama said.
