We’ll reject postponement of polls – Bugri Naabu

The outspoken Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu says the party will reject any attempt by the Election Management Body(EMB) to extend the forthcoming polls beyond December 7.

He alleged that the postponement of the 2012 polls created an opportunity for the Electoral Commission to rig the elections in favour of the ruling party, hence it will not agree to such terms in this year’s elections.

Addressing the media in Tamale ahead of Wednesday, December 7 polls, Bugri Naabu disclosed that the NPP was poised to win the elections one touch, hence would be be vigilant to nullify all efforts by their opponents to rig the elections.

He revealed they’ve resolved to position about 40 party agents at each polling station across the region for monitoring.

He’s tasked all party loyalists to stay at the polling stations after voting to ensure that every single ballot is counted at the end of the polls.
