We’ll promote peace ahead of 2016 Elections – WACPF

The Executive Director of the West Africa Centre for Peace Foundation, Mr. Wisdom Addo has said his outfit will do all it can to promote and maintain peace before, during and after the 2016 general elections in Ghana.

Speaking in an interview Mr. Addo said the WACPF has a critical role to play ahead of the December elections and that the institution will embark on a PEACEJAM SLAM on the 22nd of October at St. Kizito conference hall in Nima to drum home the need for Ghanaians to uphold the peace they enjoy.

“Among the many things we are doing is the PeaceJam slam. Peacejammers, thus, students from senior and junior high schools will embark on a peace march at this conference dubbed PeaceJam Slam to create awareness on the importance to maintain peace. They will also participate in leadership skills training, conflict resolution, team building activities, service learning projects and workshop on topics related to democratic participation and PeaceJam’s One Billion Acts of Peace Campaign. This campaign is an international global citizens’ movement led by the 13 noble peace laureates and it is designed to tackle the most important problems facing our planet” he said.
