We’ll Not Depend Solely On Offertory-Presby Reverend

Presbytery chairman of Akyem Abuakwa presbytery of the presbyterian church of Ghana, Rev. Ansah Peasah has stated that his outfit are finding other means of raising funds for the service of God hence their intention of setting up satchet water company and also improving the quality of their existing guest house.
Speaking to the press at a media briefing during a council of elders meeting at Kyebi, rev. Peasah said the church is doing all that in order not to depend on offertory for the work of the church.
” we cannot always depend on only offetory for the church work so we are finding other ways as a presbytery to raise funds for other developmental projects” he said.
He was however optimistic that their initiatives would go along way to help church members as some may gain employment when those initiatives are finally done.
Rev. Ansah Peasah also hinted on their intention to divide the presbytery into two since it has expanded with twenty-one districts. He said every district has therefore been tasked to create two new congregations in order to help them divide the presbytery.
” we are hoping to divide the presbytery into two in the next two years and because of that we want to add more congregations to what we have” he stated.
Meanwhile, a brand new V8 Toyota land cruiser at a cost of over 315,000.00 cedis bought by the presbytery was unveiled to assist the work of the presbytery chairman.
