We’ll Fight Like Wounded Lions: Asante Kotoko Comes. Dir. On Their Return Leg Clash With Wydad

Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Sarfo Duku, says the team will go all out “like wounded lions” when they face Wydad Casablanca in Morocco for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup tie.

The Porcupine Warriors face an uphill task after losing 1-0 to the Moroccan giants at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend. The return leg, scheduled for this weekend in Casablanca, will determine who progresses to the group stage of the competition.

Despite the setback, Duku insists the players remain motivated and ready to fight until the end.

“We’ll go all out like wounded lions in Morocco; whatever happens, no one knows,” he told *
Kessben Sports.

“However, I believe that with determination, we’ll put up a strong fight against Wydad AC.”

Kotoko, who eliminated Nigeria’s Kwara United in the previous round, will need at least a two-goal victory away from home to advance.

Duku’s passionate remarks reflect the team’s resolve to bounce back and make a statement on the continental stage.

“This is not the time to drop our heads,” he added. “We know what’s at stake, and the boys are ready to give everything for the badge.”

Asante Kotoko have already landed in Morocco, hopeful of overturning the narrow deficit and keeping their Confederation Cup dream alive.
