We’ll engage opposition parties on our plight – Unemployed Graduate Nurses

Unemployed graduate nurses have indicated that they will engage opposition parties in the country soon towards understanding their various policies in the health sector vis-à-vis the massive unemployment that has plagued the sector.

The move, according to them is necessary to shape their voting pattern in the crucial December polls.

They are upset that the government has deliberately chosen to work with the Diploma nurses abandoning those who have degree certificates.

Unemployed graduate nurses in the country have threatened to embark on demonstration in protest against the government’s refusal to absorb them into the various healthcare institutions across the country.

Speaking on Accra-based Citi FM, Deputy Spokesperson for the Graduate Registered Nurses in the Gt. Accra Region said the back and forth with government on their situation shows government’s unpreparedness to absorb them into the public healthcare institutions.

“We’ll decide on election day based on our situation. What we are trying to do is to seek for the views of the opposition leaders and know the plans they have for us. That will inform how we’ll vote,” Joel Nana Boateng, a Deputy spokesperson for the group said.
