Welder ordered to assist Police apprehend wife

The Police are looking for a woman, Theresa Quansah, who is accused of biting the breasts of her colleague during a scuffle.

Theresa is said to have absconded after biting her colleagues’ breasts at Klagon near Community 17.

The Circuit Court in Accra has, therefore, ordered Francis Adjei, the husband of Theresa to assist the Police to trace her where about.

While Theresa is being sought for causing harm, Adjei, a welder has been charged with threat of death.

Adjei, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, has been admitted to bail in the sum of GH¢15,000.00 with two sureties one to be a senior public servant.

The matter has been adjourned to November 6 by the court presided over by Mrs. Rita Agyeman Budu.

Prosecuting Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Adiza Suleman told the court that the complainant, Sarah Oyadier is a hairdresser while the accused persons are married and residing in the same house with the complainant.

ASP Suleman said on August 9, this year, the complainant and Theresa were in the house when Theresa began calling her (the complainant) “wash and wear.”

According to the prosecutor, the complainant confronted Theresa over the issue and that resulted in a scuffle during which Theresa bit the two breast of the complainant.

Not pleased with the conduct of Theresa, the complainant reported the incident to Adjei, who asked her to go “away with her foolishness else he would kill her.”

ASP Suleman said on August 18, this year complainant reported the matter to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) and she was issued with a Police Medical Form to attend hospital and examination.

On September 9, this year Adjei was arrested but Theresa was nowhere to be found.
