Welder electrocuted at Aflao

A welder, was electrocuted when working in his shop at Viepe at Aflao. A family source told the GNA that the deceased accepted a friend’s invitation for lunch at a nearby “kenkey” base.

He said just as Hunu was about taking a bite of the food, a client pulled up in his mini bus for some repair works, compelling him to suspend the meal.

The source said while working, the electrical cable got off the power source, and in an attempt to reconnect it, Hunu’s hand touched a bare portion of the cable leading to his electrocution.

The source said he was pronounced dead at the Central Aflao Hospital and body deposited in the morgue of same hospital.

An Aflao police source confirmed the incident.
