Weija Youth wants Niibi Ayibonte appointed DCE

A group calling itself New Patriotic Party’s (NPPs) concerned Youth of Weija are calling on President Nana Akufo-Addo, to appoint a former member of parliament for Odododiodoo and private legal practitioner, lawyer Niibi Ayi Bonte as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.

The youth group are of the view that, the lawyer, teacher and engineer is conversant with the challenges within the area and will serve their interest if appointed as DCE.

A statement issued by the youth group read: ‘’we the NPP concern youth of the Weija area are pleading with the president, Nana Akufo-Addo to give the position of DCE to Hon Niibi Ayi Bonte, a teacher by profession, an engineer and a lawyer.’’

Reginald Nii Bi Ayibonte is a Ghanaian politician and a former Member of Parliament of the Odododiodoo constituency. He was elected as MP during the 2000 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Hon. Ayibonte spent four years in parliament from 2000 to 2004. He lost the seat to Samuel Nii Ayi Mankattah (now deceased) during the 2004 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
