Weather warning: Thunderstorm in coastal belt

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) is warning of a “slight to moderate rain with thunderstorm” over the coastal area of the country between 12:00pm and 4:00pm.

“A slow moving rainstorm over the coast of Benin and Togo, moving west is expected to affect the coastal area of the country,” a release from the Agency on Thursday said.

In the Volta Region, areas named to be affected by the storm are Aflao, Ada, Akatsi and its environs by 12:00pm.

Tema, Accra and its environs in the Greater Accra Region will experience the storm between 12:00pm and 3:00pm.

Cape Coast, Elmina, Winneba, Takoradi and its environs are areas in the Central and Western regions to be affected by the storm by 4:00pm.
