Weather warning: Rain thunderstorm to hit Accra

A rain thunderstorm which is currently located over east of Cotonou (Benin) has a 30% inland coverage and 70% ocean coverage; and is intensifying whilst progressing westwards, approaching the coastal borders of the country through Aflao in the afternoon and is accompanied by gusty winds, a release from the Ghana Meteorological Agency says.

The timelines in relation to the expected areas to be affected are as follows:

Aflao: from 1330

Ada: from 1400

Tema: from 1430

Accra and its environs: from 1500
