The harmattan weather will persist over sub region – Meteo

Accra, Feb. 8, GNA – The Meteorological Services Department on Sunday announced that the harmattan weather would persist over the sub- region due to the expansion of the high pressure over North Africa. The country would therefore be under the influence of the dust haze with very low relative humidity and poor horizontal surface visibility values. Southern Ghana would however experience mist or fog patches early tomorrow morning.

Northern Ghana would remain hot and windy this afternoon but becoming cold tomorrow morning.

Maximum and minimum temperatures between 0600 hours on Sunday and 0600 hours on Monday were given as: coastal areas, between 33 and 23 degrees Celsius, forest and mountainous areas, between 35 and 20 degrees Celsius and Northern Ghana, between 37 and 18 degrees Celsius.
