“We need successful mass cocoa spraying” – Spokesman

Anum Apapam (E/R), Dec. 6, GNA – Cocoa farmers at Ebenezer near Anum Apapam in the Eastern Region, have appealed to the government to ensure that effective mechanism is put in place to guarantee regular supply of pesticides for the mass cocoa spraying.

A spokesman for the farmers, Mr. Daniel Ohene, a prominent cocoa farmer in the area, referred to what he termed lapses in the spraying exercise last year, and said efforts should be made to prevent their recurrence.

Mr Ohene pledged the farmers’ commitment to put in their best to increase their yield for the cocoa season.
