‘We need conditions of service for traffic management’

National Service Personnel under training by the MTTU at the National Police School have declared that they need better condition of service when they are deployed to work alongside the police.

Some of the service personnel who are being given special training to enable them perform their duties efficiently said, “ there are risk involved in directing traffic on the road. We can even be knocked down by car”.

Others said, the training they are receiving is very difficult and they think National service should provide them better condition of Service when they are deployed on the roads.

Some of the aggrieved personnel said they should be given risk allowances because the risk involved is undecorated.

The service personnel are currently under two week training at the Ghana Police training and they will be deployed on the street from 1st September, 2015.
