The minority has said it may review its decision to boycott the vetting of President Mahama’s ministerial nominees.
This comes at the back of the various pressure mounted on them to rescind their decision of boycott.
The latest is a statement from Ghana Bar Association asking the minority in Parliament to review its decision and to participate in the vetting of the President’s ministerial nominees.
In an interview with Citi News the minority leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu says they may reconsider their stance.
“The issues that they are raising were raised at our sitting and it featured in our deliberations on the matter,” he stated.
Hon Kyei Mensah Bonsu further disclosed, “We have taken a lot of things into consideration and for now we have in mind that what we are doing is the best cause but when the need arises for us to do introspection on any major decision that comes before us, why not?”
“For now, we are sure that the decision is the right thing and the right cause however; we have reliably been informed that within the caucus of the Bar Association, there was some disapproval,” he added.
