We can’t snub Delta Force – Carlos Ahenkorah

The Deputy Minister-designate for Trade and Industry, Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has asked members of the opposition NDC to desist from blaming the NPP as if its executives deliberately mandated the vigilante groups to cause havoc after the 2016 elections.

According to him although every member of the NPP is not happy with the attacks, they cannot as well disregard them because their hard work also helped in bringing the party into power.

“Their vigorous efforts on behalf of the party before the just ended elections prevented the then government in power from manipulating the elections [2016 General Elections],” he said.

He explained that all the party can tell them for now is to exercise patience if they don’t want to disgrace President Akufo- Addo and the party they belong to, as executives of the party address their anxiety in an orderly manner.

The Member of Parliament [MP] for the Tema West Constituency in a panel discussion on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme urged the National Executive Council [NEC] of the party to make all efforts to calm down their furious actions.

“The vigilante groups fighting in the name of the party are not groups formed by the NPP to cause confusion, rather they willingly joined the party with an aim of protecting areas where the NDC maneuver votes to win elections. This they accomplished, and are now asking for their rewards, which we will definitely attend to them in no time,” Carlos Ahenkorah noted.
