We cannot fail Ghanaians again – Afoko tells NPP

The National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Paul Afoko is aiming to unseat the incumbent President, John Dramani Mahama in the next presidential polls, but not until the NPP is unified to pursue such an agenda.

According to him, the NPP is the only party that can salvage Ghanaians from the calamitous governance by the NDC-led government.

“Ghanaians are longing for a better political alternative to President John Mahama’s ever disappointing and disenchanting government and the ?NPP quickly comes to anybody’s mind,” he said.

Ahead of the party’s National Delegates’ Congress to elect a flagbearer to lead the party in the 2016 presidential elections, Paul Afoko noted that the party must fully support any of the presidential hopefuls [Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and Addai-Nimo], who will emerge as winner.

He stated that, any differences that might have emanated in the aspirants’ campaign must be resolved to instill unity in the party to overthrow the NDC.

“I will plead with all and sundry that after our party goes to elect our flagbearer on October 18th, we would all throw our support behind him, unite and fight a unified political battle to unseat President Mahama and the NDC,” he said on his Facebook. wall

Adding that, “It is in this vein that I will plead with all the supporters of the three aspirants to be measured in the type of language they will use on each other in the run up to October 18”.

The NPP leader further insisted that, “We [NPP] cannot afford to fail Ghanaians this time round. I wish all the aspirants the best of luck ahead of October 18. Long live NPP, Long live mother Ghana”.
