We are Preparing Through ‘Economic’ Ways Ahead of President’s Cup Clash with Kotoko: Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani

Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has revealed that the club is adopting innovative and cost-effective training methods as they gear up for a high-stakes President’s Cup showdown against fierce rivals Asante Kotoko.

With just a day to the much-anticipated fixture, Dramani told reporters that the technical team is being “economical” in its approach to player preparation, a strategy he believes is both practical and necessary in today’s football climate.

“We’re using economic ways to prepare the players, focusing on efficiency, managing workloads, and maximizing output from every session,” Dramani said during a training ground briefing.

In a bid to further enhance performance analysis, Hearts have also begun leveraging modern technology, including video recording of training sessions, to refine tactical awareness and player movement.

“We now record most of our sessions,” Dramani added. “This allows the players to review their actions, understand tactical nuances, and make quick adjustments.”

The President’s Cup, which doubles as a ceremonial fixture in honour of the sitting President, remains one of the most emotionally charged rivalries in Ghanaian football. This year’s edition promises to be no different as the Phobians and Porcupine Warriors renew their storied rivalry.

Hearts fans will be encouraged by the club’s forward-thinking approach, especially as Dramani continues to rebuild confidence after a rocky league campaign.

While the full squad is expected to be announced closer to matchday, Dramani is banking on preparation, discipline, and team unity rather than big budgets to inspire a strong performance.
