Water supply to KNUST restored

Water supply to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been restored after authorities there reportedly paid the GHc6 million debt it owed the Ghana Water Company limited Thursday.

The GWCL cut supply to the university for many weeks over its refusal to pay the debt despite numerous warnings to do so.

Students and lecturers, reportedly, struggled to go about their regular duties as a result of the acute water shortage on campus.

Meanwhile, Starr News understands some other institutions including, the Kumasi Polytechnic are also heavily indebted to the water company and may suffer similar fate in the coming days.
