Water Company rations water for consumers in Ho

Ho, June 22, GNA – The Ghana Water Company (GWC) is rationing water to the Ho Municipality in view of inadequate supply from the Kpeve Pumping Station, Mr Eric Bansah, District Manager said on Thursday. He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview that the inadequate supply was as a result of damage to the motors of two machines that pump raw water from the Lake to the treatment plant for distribution.

Mr Bansah said the motors had been removed for rewinding and that the situation would revert to normal by the close of next week. He hinted that the company was about to take delivery of new motors for the Kpeve Station, which when fixed to the pumping machines would considerably reduce breakdowns.

Mr Bansah said the company had developed supply schedule that would make water available to all affected areas and advised consumers to store water.
