Prosecution said in his first year of stay, the complainant left his keys with Ibrahim but noticed theft in his room but Ibrahim denied any knowledge.

On July 27, this year at about 1400 hours the Judge went to see some friend off leaving Ibrahim in the house.

The Judge on his return found that 1,000 dollars, one million cedis had been stolen but the door to his room had not been tampered with and Ibrahim was no where to be found.

A report was made to the Police and the following day, Ibrahim was arrested.

Prosecution said a duplicate key belonging to the Complainant was retrieved from Ibrahim during a search. During Police interrogation, the accused admitted going to the complainant’s room once.

According to Ibrahim, he only took 300,000 cedis but denied stealing 1,300 dollars, 500 Euros, 31.4 million cedis, two gold necklaces and the 24 Compact Disc, which had been missing for the past two years. 8 Aug. 05
