Wassa West District Assembly honours hard working staff

Tarkwa(W/R), Dec. 31, GNA – Wassa West District Assembly has awarded eight of its workers for their exceptional performance this year at a ceremony at Tarkwa.

They were presented with items valued at about 30.3 million cedis and included four tabletop refrigerators and four 21 inches colour television sets.

The recipients were, Mr Prince Gharbin, an Administrative Assistant, Mr Umaru Sanda, Principal Assembly Guard, Madam Mary Hooper and James Frank Apau all guards. The rest were Madam Victoria Gidiglo , Senior Typist, Mr Emmanuel Williams a Messenger, Mr Christian Azalatey, Principal Environmental Health Officer and Mr Emmanuel Agyei, a labourer. Criteria for selecting the award winners included exemplary conduct, reliability, punctuality and willingness to work with other people.

Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Ayensu, Wassa West District Chief Executive, congratulated the winners and urged others to work hard to be honoured in future. Madam Gidiglo on behalf of the winners thanked the assembly for the honour.
