Warning on counterfeit notes at Aflao

The Ministry of Information and National Orientation on Friday warned the public to beware of the circulation of counterfeit 20,000 cedis notes at Aflao and its environs and to report such incidents to the Police.

In a statement signed by Mr D.A. Kwapong, Acting Director of Information Services, the Ministry said some business executives and managers of entertainment spots had expressed concern about the counterfeit notes.

“The Ministry of Information and National Orientation wishes to advise the general public, especially residents of Aflao, to be vigilant and to report any suspicious characters in possession of fake Ghanaian currency to the security agencies.”
