Wake kept for Justice Annan

Accra, Oct. 7, GNA 96 Scores of people from all walks of life, including high-ranking politicians, members of the Bench and Bar on Thursday kept wake at the Ga Mantse’s Palace for the late Speaker of Parliament, Mr Justice Daniel Francis Annan.

His body lay in state at the Palace where there was traditional drumming and a boxing exhibition in his honour.

Among those present were the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Ebenezer Sekyi Hughes; the Clerk of Parliament; Mr Ken Tachie, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Kwabena Adjei; General Secretary of the NDC, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, The Minority Leader, Mr Alban Bagbin and Mr Osei Kyei Mensah, Majority Chief Whip.

Others included members of the NDC, New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other political parties and boxing legend Azumah Nelson. Mr Justice Annan, 77, is being buried in Accra on Friday.
