Wailing at Denkyira Obuasi as Major Mahama is laid to rest

Ghana has been gloomy today as the nation sends home, Major Maxwell Adam Mahama. The State House, where the funeral took place has been filled with tears from family, friends, statesmen and even people who never met the late military officer who was lynched at Denkyira-Obuasi last week Monday.

Residents of Denkyira-Obuasi gathered at the spot the late Major Mahama was lynched and burnt to mourn him.

Wailing women have been asking the nation for forgiveness for the unfortunate incident which took away the life of a young husband and father of two whiles men look on with sorrowful faces.
