Wade to Attend Kufuor’s Inauguration

Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade will Sunday in Accra attend the inauguration of newly-elected Ghanaian President John Kufuor, according to an official statement Thursday.

Wade hailed “the democratic and peaceful transition” that has taken place in Ghana, the statement said.

On 28 December, Kufuor won the election by beating Vice President John Atta Mills in the second round with 57 percent of the votes.
