Wa Municipal Assembly hands over three water facilities

The Wa Municipal Assembly has handed over three water facilities to three communities as part of efforts to improve on community’s access to potable water.

The three mechanised boreholes connected with six standing pipes cost GH¢ 102,027.00 and the beneficiary communities are Danko, Mangu and Sagu.

Mr. Issahaku Nuhu Putiaha, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, separate handing over ceremonies expressed gratitude to WaterAid for funding the projects.

He also expressed optimism that the facilities would help reduce the difficulty that women in those communities used to go through in search of water, sometimes from unsafe sources.

Members of the communities expressed their gratitude to the Municipal Assembly and WaterAid.

In related development, the MCE also handed over two number eight seater KVIP facilities constructed at the of GH¢ 45,438.00 to the Wa Senior High Technical School (SHTS).

Mr. Gateng Bayel, the Headmaster of the School, thanked the Assembly for the support.
