W/R NCCE to celebrate constitution week

Sekondi, April 13, GNA- The Western Region National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) is to celebrate its fourth constitution week from April 23 to May 9 this year.

Mr. Augustine Aggrey, Deputy Regional Director of the Commission, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sekondi on Tuesday. The theme for the celebration is: “National Integration Through Tolerance”.

Mr. Aggrey said political parties would be involved in the programme week because national integration should start with the parties. He said football matches would be organised for political parties with a view to promoting harmony among members and supporters. Mr. Aggrey said the parties as well as personnel of the security services and other identifiable groups would be engaged in constitution game contest.

He said awards would also be presented to personalities, individuals and institutions in the region that have promoted civic education in the region.

Other activities include fora for political parties, as well as excursion to the Ankasa Game Reserve by members of Civic Education Clubs.
