Sekondi (W/R), Dec.31, GNA- Members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs have assured the Government of their cooperation in the implementation of development programmes in the region. They commended the Government in its efforts to improve the lives of Ghanaians through the provision of schools and health facilities, roads, potable water and incentives to farmers.
This was contained in a congratulatory message to President John Agyekum Kufuor and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the victory in December 7 general elections.
The message signed by Awulae Attibrukusu III, President of the house said: “The people of Western Region are witnesses to what have been done for them in the past four years, and we hope that the next four years will see greater improvement in our lives” it said.
The message again commended the Electoral Commission (EC), the opposition political parties and their leaders, the various security agencies, the media and election observers for their roles in ensuring peaceful, free and fair elections.
It praised the people in the region for conducting themselves well during the exercise.
